First Grade art is based on basic art principles of line, shape, color, etc.  We will be exploring many different meduims, artists, and types of art to learn and apply the principles.  Parents, please look on the back of your child's work to read a synopsis of the lesson.  Art will be held every other week, all year long. Enjoy!

Second Grade art meets the second semester on Thursdays.  We  will be gaining confidence in use of art materials as well as exposure to many artists and art styles.  Art will come home sporadically throughout the semester.  Please engage your child in recalling the lesson and how she/he created his/her piece.

Fourth graders will be challenged to use the academics of art that have been building through the years.  As is the case in elementary art, our focus is on exposure, experience, and enjoyment!  We will learn and develop drawing skills as well as design elements, creating works inspired by master artists.  All art comes home portfolio style in June.
