My responsibilities at ZCS include teaching students who may struggle in one or more academic areas in order to provide them an individualized educational experience, providing testing and assessment services to families when there are concerns, and working with teachers to accommodate different learning styles in the classroom.

My journey to ZCS was led by God every step of the way and I am daily reminded of His blessings in my life.  I graduated from Hope College in 2005 with a degree in Special Education-Learning Disabilities, and am currently pursuing my Master's Degree from GVSU in Special Education Administration.  I also am a certified Reading Recovery teacher, and spend part of my day teaching Reading Recovery at ZCS.  I live in Holland with my husband, Jared, and our dog, Ellie.  I love to cook and spend time outside.
