Grace Community

Zeeland Christian has had a unique relationship with Grace Community Christian School in Manila, The Philippines for the last seven years.

Our relationship involves cross-cultural study and the support of almost 80 students at Grace Community Christian School. These students are sponsored by classrooms and by families in the Zeeland Christian School system.

Kyla is a very shy girl but her teacher said that she is doing well in her studies.  She is very cooperative and attentive.

Prince Anthony's grandmother came to know the Lord Jesus Christ and accepted Him as her personal Lord and Savior early this year.  She started to attend church regularly at Grace from Heaven Christian Reformed Church.  Sometimes she brought Prince Anthony with her.  Whenever Prince Anthony comes to church, he expresses desire that he would want to study at GCCS.  His grandmother said that they could not afford to send him to a private school because both his parents have no jobs. However, when the grandmother learned that we have this Sponsorship program, she applied for her grandson to avail of the program.  Now Prince Anthony is enrolled at our school.  He is in Kinder 1.  His teacher said that he is very aggressive.  Prince Anthony lives in a very congested community and at an early age he is already exposed to violence and the like.  We hope that his stay at GCCS will mold his character and that he will learn values to guide him in latter years.

Faith Story

Mr. Ippel, Seventh Grade

"Since 2000 Zeeland Christian School has enjoyed a vibrant relationship with Grace Christian Community School in Pasay City, Metro Manila, in the Philippines. Through our prayers and contributions we have been a blessing to the students, teachers, and families of this school that continues to grow in a very impoverished area of the city. In the words of their pastor, Leo Ordiales, 'we have been blessed to be a blessing.' We thank God for this Kingdom partnership."
