We take tried and true teaching methods and combine them with the latest research and innovations to provide a well-rounded, Christ-centered education.

Our curriculum is a progressive, traditional curriculum that takes the best in recent curriculum studies and adapts it to the needs of students in this school system. In addition to traditional subjects like math, reading, and science, our program also includes physical education, vocal and instrumental music, art, and computers. Our Christian beliefs and teachings are at the heart of everything we teach and all our dealings with students.

Our Story

In 2015, Zeeland Christian School will celebrate 100 years of Christian education in Zeeland! When we think of 100 years, we think of the faithful men and women who worked so hard to get this school up and running so that their children would be brought up with Christ at the center of everything they learned.

At Zeeland Christian, we have a passion for teaching and for helping young Christians grow. All of our teachers meet or exceed state requirements, and they meet even higher standards: those they set for themselves.

Standing Stone

In Bible times, people would often erect a pile of stones to let others know that something significant happened there. As you read the Old Testament, there are several references to God's people doing this as a sign of what God had done for them. In the same way, Zeeland Christian School wants to tell the world what God is doing here in the lives of students.

Family Groups

An integral part of building community at Zeeland Christian School is being part of a Family Group. Students are all assigned a Family Group in First Grade. They stay with their Family Group all the way through ZCS. Each Family Group has 2-3 students from every grade level. The older students are responsible for the younger students. Together, they study the Bible, they work on service projects and sometimes, they just hang out and have fun! The Zeeland Christian community is stronger because of these multi-age relationships and the mentoring that takes place within the Family Groups.

SHINE ON!

Our 2011-2012 school year theme is "SHINE ON!" It's based on Daniel 12:3: "Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness like the stars for ever and ever."
