What do you love about Zeeland Christian?
I love the ZCS community! You walk through the doors of this place and you can feel God at work and the love that we as teachers, students and parents share for one another and for Jesus Christ!
Why are you passionate about Christian Education?
I love that together, as a community of believers, we can lean on one another and grow together in our Faith and walk with Christ. We get to openly pray to and worship our Father and learn all that we can about His amazing world.
What do you want others to know about you?
I was born and raised in Holland and then when I was 13 my parents followed God's call and we became missionaries in Chiapas Mexico, where we lived and served for 7 years. I met my husband Domingo in Mexico and we have been married for 14 years and we have been blessed with 3 wonderful children. Sofia is in 6th grade SI and Alex and Bella are in 3rd grade SI, all here at ZCS! When I am not at school you will find me in the kitchen cooking and baking! As a family, we love to play board games, watch movies and spend time outdoors!
One life lesson your students have taught you:
I have learned that we can learn more and do more than we ever expected when we have others that walk alongside us. The classroom can be a FUN and exciting place to learn, grow and make mistakes.
