What do you love about Zeeland Christian?
I love teaching at Zeeland Christian because each person here is valued as a unique creation of God, which special gifts, talents, interests, and abilities. We strive to help our students discover how they are uniquely wired and how they can use those specific gifts to serve God's kingdom.
Why are you passionate about Christian Education?
I love Christian education because it gives my students a strong foundation for their faith and it allows them to see God's fingerprints in all areas of life. It teaches the WHOLE student.
What do you want others to know about you?
I grew up in Iowa and moved to West Michigan when I was in high school. I attended Dordt College where I graduated with a BA in elementary education. My first teaching job was in the middle school at Zeeland Christian but now I teach elementary music part-time and I love it! Mark is my husband and I have four beautiful kids: Ruby, Charlie, Tabatha, and Mona. I am passionate about family, worship expressed through music and affirming the good I see in others. In my free time, I like to bake, garden, run or read. God has been faithful to me and my family through the ups and downs of life. He continues to give us the feet to walk the path He has for us.
