What do you love about Zeeland Christian?

I am looking forward to using my education, 23 years of living in Latin America, and love for children to influence a new generation. I am also passionate about immersion, as my children were educated in Mexico, and I know the opportunities it will open up for the students personally and for service in the Kingdom.

Why are you passionate about Christian Education?

I feel that Christian Education can be a very important element in training the next generation. While parents and the church play major roles, a Christian School helps to develop a Biblical worldview as each subject is taught through the lens of the Bible.

What do you want others to know about you?

I was born and raised in Farmington Hills, MI. My husband Scott and I served with CRWM in Mexico for 23 years. Our 3 children grew up in Mexico and attended Mexican schools from pre-school through 9th grade. I homeschooled for High School. We returned to Michigan in the fall of 2015 and live on a farm that my husband's grandfather built over 100 years ago. We are involved in promoting Hispanic ministries in the Zeeland area. We are also grandparents to 4 great children!

One life lesson your students have taught you:

I am always reminded that we are made in God's image.  When students are working on projects I am amazed at their creativity!  I am also humbled by their sincere faith.
