What do you love about working at Zeeland Christian?

It is a blessing to be able to work in a place where you can have the freedom of sharing the Gospel and at the same time teach academics. I love that ZCS has a call for the nations and our community.

Why are you passionate about Christian education?

I love using my vocation and call to serve the Lord in a Christian School environment. Christ is the center of everything we do as Christian educators and my goal is to make Him known every day in my classroom .

Tell us a little more about yourself

I'm from Panama. I made the decision to follow Jesus when I was eight years old, at this age I knew that God was calling me to be his disciple and to share His love with others. I have a degree in special education and I had the opportunity to teach in my country. After a couple of years, I made the decision to join YWAM. I traveled to different countries, El Salvador, Colombia and Spain. While in Spain I met my husband, David, he is from west Michigan. I have been living in the USA for 14 years. We have 3 kids (Annalise, Joshua, and Daniel). Ten years ago, I taught first grade Spanish Immersion here at ZCS. After having my first baby, I decided to be a stay at home mom. The last few years I have been helping in preschool as an assistant teacher. We love hiking, skiing, traveling and cooking.
