Faith over Fear

In December ZCS mom Jane Klingenberg was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. Jane, mom of Kendal in 2nd grade, reached out to a group of moms in her daughter’s class for support via text messages. While she went through various treatments, the group lifted up Jane with verses, prayers, and words of affirmation in response to Jane’s requests and praises to God.

This spring Dana Moeller, a mom in the support group, offered to make t-shirts for any of the moms and daughters in the Mandarin program in exchange for a donation which would be given to Jane to help with the many expenses incurred while flying back and forth to Little Rock. The t-shirts read “Faith over Fear” which reflects Ephesians 3:20-21: Jane’s verse she claims while walking her path.

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”  Ephesians 3:20-21

With great joy, Jane was able to visit Zeeland Christian last week and proudly stand with and thank her school supporters. Before all the donations were collected, Dana stood in front of the Visa gift cards and boldly asked God for “immeasurably more” as she picked out $1000 worth of cards which totaled $1019 with activation fees. A day later after all of the checks, cash and Paypal donations had come in, the group gave God the glory because exactly $1019 was given to help the Klingenberg family.  Just like the ZCS 7th grade carwash which raised money for the Philippians, God blessed with the exact amount.  What a faithful God we serve!
