Car wash raises over $11,000 for sister-school in Philippines
Thank you to all who participated in the 7th-grade car wash! The carwash is a great way for our students to both serve the community and raise money. The goal this year was to raise enough money to pay tuition for a year for four students at Grace Christian School and to help Grace Christian finish building additional classrooms for their growing school system. The project was well underway but was in jeopardy, they needed $9,600 to be able to complete the project.
Our 7th graders with pledges promised to set out one chilly Saturday morning to provide a free car wash to anyone who would show up. Our kids worked hard and washed over 200 cars. The pledges were collected and the kids were able to provide tuition for the 4 children with an additional $9,600 to go towards the building addition! The exact amount that was needed!
We are grateful to God for using our hands to do his work.

We are incredibly grateful to all of you! It is amazing that you were able to raise the exact amount we need as if God did it deliberately! Of course He did!
We look forward to the many many years this building will be used for the development of Christian education in our part of the world. It is a great feeling to know that we all have participated in His plan. Oh how excited we are to have the ZCS Summer team 2018 celebrate together with GCCS at Thanksgiving time of the new building! You sacrificially washed but you will satisfyingly watch how God will turn this gift of grace to be a river of blessing for years to come! God bless you ZCS!
