Student Spotlight: Charlie TenHaken

This is my 11th and final year at ZCS, and to tell you the truth, I’ve loved every year of it.

The teachers have embodied Jesus to me and given me great examples to follow. They have shown me how God’s word is still alive and that God has a purpose for my life. They have taught me to lean on Jesus’ strength during hard times and have been so helpful when I struggle with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, or ADHD. They’ve given me “brain breaks”, wiggle cushions, stools and balls to sit on, and special rules and exceptions with my behavior. They’ve also given me a great education.

ZCS is made up of an amazing combination of phenomenal teachers and incredible students, and I wouldn’t trade my time here for the world.

Another thing I love is the amazing community! Every time I walk in to the classroom, I’m greeted by my fellow classmates with a warm welcome, a smile, and maybe a joke or two. I feel like I belong here. ZCS is made up of an amazing combination of phenomenal teachers and incredible students, and I wouldn’t trade my time here for the world.

I have had an incredible 11 years at ZCS and I will be sad to see it come to an end. But I will leave this place with fond memories, a real faith in Jesus, incredible friendships and a solid foundation on which to step into the next parts of my life.  Thank you ZCS, for all you have given me.

What a AWSOME explanation of his feelings attending school. Much credit to the school, teachers and also to his classmates and of course his parents who have stood by his side, prayed for him and encouraged him.
